The Fischer Panda Shaft Drive is an electric motor installed inside the hull, connected directly to the existing propeller shaft. No new shaft tunnel. No hull modification. The motor is dry, accessible and built for the demands of bluewater sailing, commercial operations and heavy displacement vessels. Available from 3.8 kW to 20 kW at 48 V.

The Fischer Panda Shaft Drive is installed in the hull and connected directly to the propeller shaft. The double-walled aluminium housing is water-cooled with an integrated thrust bearing, no oil required for cooling, no gearbox. All electronics are housed in the EasyBox: compact, plug and play, simple to operate.
The regeneration mode uses the rotating propeller while sailing as a generator, automatically recharging the battery bank. Recovering energy while you are underway. All systems are load-tested before delivery.

You do not need a new boat to go electric. The Fischer Panda Shaft Drive connects directly to your existing propeller shaft. No new shaft tunnel. No hull modification. The existing engine is removed and replaced by the electric motor, the rest of the drivetrain stays exactly as it is. Retrofitting is carried out by certified Fischer Panda dealers from the first consultation to commissioning.
