Fischer Panda develops water-cooled generators and electric drives for marine and mobile applications. Built in Paderborn. Backed by 500+ technicians in over 80 countries.
For nearly five decades, we have built systems that work when it matters. At sea. On the road. Far from the next service point. That is Fischer Panda. And One Fischer Panda is the network behind it, engineers, dealers and service partners worldwide, who carry that standard forward. Wherever you are. Wherever you go.
500+ technicians. 80+ countries. Your local Fischer Panda dealer handles installation, service and spare parts. Wherever you are based, wherever you travel. That is not a promise. That is how One Fischer Panda works. Told by the people who are Fischer Panda on the ground.
Since 1977, Fischer Panda has developed water-cooled generators and electric drives that are compact, light and quiet. What began as Icemaster GmbH in Paderborn has grown into a global network of 500+ technicians in over 80 countries. Nearly five decades of engineering. One standard. No compromises.
At Fischer Panda, you do not just take on a role. You become part of a team that turns ideas into solutions and leaves a visible trace in the world. Engineers, thinkers and doers who share one standard. That is who we are. That is who we are looking for.
Fischer Panda GmbH is a German manufacturer of compact, water-cooled diesel generators for marine and vehicle applications, headquartered in Paderborn, Germany.
Founded in 1977, the company has spent nearly five decades developing generator technology around three core principles: compact dimensions, light weight, and low operating noise. The company is one of the world’s most trusted names for generators comprising of compact engine technology, purpose-built alternators and sound insulation capsules. Fischer Panda also designs and manufactures their own control and inverter systems.
Fischer Panda generators are used worldwide – on yachts and superyachts, in professional special-purpose vehicles, emergency response units, broadcasting vehicles, motorhomes, and special solutions.
Fischer Panda uses modern diesel engines from leading manufacturers such as Kubota, HATZ and Mitsubishi. The Panda 5000i.Neo is the first model to use Fischer Panda’s own FP320 engine, developed in-house.
“One Fischer Panda” is not a product line or a marketing campaign. It is the principle that guides how Fischer Panda operates worldwide.
It means that technology, service, communication, and customer support reflects the same standards, values, and commitment across every touchpoint – whether you interact with a product, a dealer, a service partner or our digital platforms.
For our customers, “One Fischer Panda” means a consistent experience: the same quality, the same reliability, and the same dedication, wherever in the world they work with Fischer Panda.
Fischer Panda's core product is the water-cooled diesel generator, available in over 200 models covering output ranges from 2.5 kW to 60 kW for marine and vehicle applications. The range covers AC output (i-Series variable speed and x-Series fixed speed), DC battery charging (AGT-DC / Hybrid Power series), and self-contained units (PSC).
For electric propulsion, Fischer Panda offers marine drive systems from 1.7 kW to 20 kW across three configurations: POD drives, shaft drives, and parallel hybrid systems. High-voltage drive systems are available on request through selected specialist dealers.
Fischer Panda products are designed to integrate into complete onboard energy systems, compatible with common battery banks, inverters, chargers, and solar components available on the market. Fischer Panda's authorised dealer and service network supports system planning and integration for both marine and vehicle applications.
Conventional generators prioritise output capacity over size, weight, and noise. Fischer Panda’s design philosophy inverts this: the starting point is always the installation space and the acoustic environment. The result is a generator that is water-cooled (no noise-generating air vents), enclosed in a purpose-built sound insulation capsule, and dimensioned to fit where other generators cannot.
The i-Series adds variable-speed technology, reducing engine speed (and therefore noise and fuel consumption) to exactly what the load requires. The combination is not available as an off-the-shelf product from most competitors.
Perfect Power refers to Fischer Panda’s variable-speed generator concept for both marine and vehicle applications.
The engine speed is continuously adjusted by an external inverter to match actual load demand. At partial load – which describes the majority of operating hours for most installations – the engine runs at lower rpm, producing less noise, consuming less fuel, and generating fewer emissions than a fixed-speed generator of equivalent output.
Compared to asynchronous generators of the same output class, iSeries generators are up to 50 % lighter and require up to 30 % less installation space.
Yes. All Fischer Panda diesel generators are fully compatible with EN15940 paraffinic fuels, including HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil), without modifications or additional maintenance requirements.
This makes Fischer Panda generators suitable for operators and fleets committed to reducing their carbon footprint through alternative diesel fuels.
Fischer Panda’s global dealer network is the direct point of contact for product selection, quotations, installation support, and after-sales service.
Fischer Panda offers application-specific adaptations and engineered solutions for OEMs, system integrators, and specialised operators. Depending on the project scope, this may include modified installation concepts, customised electrical interfaces, integrated fuel systems, acoustic optimisation, or environmental requirements.
Each request is evaluated individually based on technical feasibility, project requirements, and commercial viability. Drawing on decades of experience across marine, vehicle, defence, medical, and broadcast applications, Fischer Panda has developed solutions for a wide range of demanding operating environments.
